Become a corporate supporter

The generous support of local businesses plays a vital role in enabling our charitable work. But supporting us isn’t just about giving, it’s also an opportunity for your business to benefit.

Supporting our charity is a tangible way to showcase good corporate responsibility, while also gaining other benefits:

  • Tax efficiency: limited companies can reduce corporation tax when making monetary or sponsorship donations. Tax relief is available by deducting the value of your donations from your total business profits before tax.
  • Employee engagement: you may also wish to donate your time through volunteering. You can deduct costs (wages and business expenses) against your taxable profits. We are always happy to discuss ways we can support you in making this possible.

Partnering with us allows your business to make a real difference in the community, while also enhancing your reputation and connection with your stakeholders.

Corporate donations

Many organisations choose to support us through direct financial donations, but contributions can also include goods, professional services, or employee-led fundraising initiatives. If you decide to make a financial donation, we recommend setting a clear budget that aligns with your business objectives and the impact you wish to achieve

We encourage businesses to speak with us before making a commitment, so we can advise on the type of support that will have the greatest benefit for our services and the people we support.

Engage your employees

Employee involvement is key to a successful partnership. Including your team in decision-making and fundraising activities helps build engagement and purpose across your organisation.

As a local charity closely linked to NHS services, many employees have a personal connection to the care we provide. For this reason, many businesses choose to support us as their Charity of the Year, focusing their efforts on our local cause throughout the year.

Measuring your impact

Maintaining clear records of your charitable contributions helps support tax reporting and allows your business to track its support over time. It also provides a clear picture of the positive impact your partnership is making within the local community.

Corporate brand partnerships

You could consider establishing a long-term partnership with our charity to create a more significant impact.

We partner with a select group of organisations as corporate brand partners, supporting our flagship fundraising initiatives throughout the year.

Corporate brand partner sponsorship underwrites the operational costs of our major events and campaigns, ensuring that 100% of participant-raised funds are directed to patient care.

In return, we deliver structured, measurable outcomes that align with corporate marketing and environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives, including:

  • band visibility across flagship events, major campaigns, and digital platforms, reaching a highly engaged community audience
  • public relations and media exposure, including inclusion in press releases, event media, and campaign communications
  • customer and stakeholder engagement, through on-site brand presence, co-branded materials, and digital recognition
  • demonstrable corporate social responsibility (CSR) impact, with clear reporting on funds enabled for patient care and community outcomes

Brand partners receive prominent recognition throughout the year, with post-campaign reporting provided to demonstrate reach, engagement, and impact. This ensures transparency, accountability, and a clear return on investment for our partners.

Annual sponsorship can be paid monthly, quarterly or in full.

“We are one of Doncaster’s biggest employers, with more than 980 staff, so it’s important to us to support local charities.

“We chose to support St John’s Hospice as it has touched the lives of so many local patients and families and is the only specialist palliative care hospice in Doncaster.

“We want to say thank you for their excellent work and hope to continue to support them in the future.”
