For the first time, Your Hearts and Minds has been chosen as a charity partner for Sandall Park’s popular Santa Dash, which returns on Sunday 6 December.
The festive event will raise funds for St John’s Hospice in Balby and the charity’s appeal to build a new hydrotherapy pool for people with learning disabilities in Doncaster.
The day begins at 10am with a Christmas market, refreshments, stalls and Santa’s Grotto, followed by the Santa Dash at 11am. Adults can take part for £10, which includes a Santa suit and medal, while children aged five and over can enter for £3.50 and receive a medal and reindeer antlers. Dogs are also welcome.
Every pound raised will help support specialist hospice care for local families and bring the charity closer to its goal of raising the final £159,000 needed for a new purpose-built hydrotherapy pool.
The event is supported by Riverside Motors, sponsor of the Christmas Market, and Ison Harrison Solicitors, whose sponsorship of the Santa Dash means more of the funds raised can go directly towards supporting local people.
