A good death

We believe that everyone deserves the best possible end of life care and support.

End of life care is not only about the patient, it’s also about the support we give to their loved ones. From diagnosis, through to bereavement, our services touch the lives of local people with life limiting conditions, both within our inpatient settings, and in the wider community.

Our St John’s Hospice in Doncaster celebrates its 32nd anniversary this year, and we are proud of millions of pounds, which have been donated over the years. We need to raise £500,000 each year over and above the NHS contribution to care in order for us to continue to provide our high-quality specialist care and support service.

The Dragonfly branding associated with St John’s Hospice charity is well-loved and recognised throughout Doncaster, so we are proud to continue to use this when fundraising for our specialist palliative care services.

Your generous donations ensure we continue to provide the best possible care when our patients and families need it most and help fund care and resources over and above those provided by the NHS.
