Promoting education and learning
Learning is vital to the ongoing delivery of high-quality care to our patients.
We have ambitious plans to raise funds to build and develop an education and learning centre, which could include state-of-the-art educations methods such as simulations suites and training on new technology such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality and dementia virtual experience.
Our charity helps to fund training over and above that provided by the NHS and enables us to reach out to our wider community.
An education and learning centre would revolutionise the way we currently provide education and training. It would give our clinicians the space and resources to keep their skills up to date and continue their lifelong learning. As well as being a huge asset for our organisation, we aim to share the facility and resource with others such as community organisations who will work with us in delivering care and support to our patients, such as social care and housing, and we aim to develop innovative, multi-disciplinary approach to learning and education across the three places with work in.
Patients and carers will play a key role in setting up our education and learning centre. In addition, we want it to support local groups and forums for those with lived experience.
